The coffee was the highlight. I ordered a Almond milk cappuccino and it was just perfect. We also ordered some chicken sandwiches that were ok but a bit dry.

We enjoyed our delicious breakfast so much that we went back for the tastiest pumpkin soup we've ever tasted. The coffee is second to none! The range of home made cakes and apple pies looked very inviting... Next time! Yvonne, the owner, is very friendly and cooks all the fare! Yummy!Maureen and Caroline
My husband and I were craving a breakfast at 12pm but all the cafes in Bribie Island stopped serving breakfast at 11am... except Slice of Heaven Cafe! They serve breakfast all day.My husband had the Big Breakfast ($15) and I had the Regular Breakfast ($13). It was a delicious meal and the portion sizes were very good. Their menu is limited but you could easily find something to tempt you. The location of the cafe is perfect... situated on the surf side of the island and only metres from the track down to the beach. There is ample seating outside with umbrellas for shade in Summer and the atmosphere is relaxing with birds chirping in the nearby trees. When I placed our order, I noticed a sign above the register saying... "We don't do fast food but we do it as fast as we can" and another sign that implied you should keep a happy temperament. Before I sat down I thought... obviously they have had complaints above timeliness of service in the past. Although I can sympathise, it is a difficult industry to work in and pleasing customers isn't always easy. Having said that, we did think that a wait of 45 minutes for breakfast was a long time. There were 14 people seated when we were there and a few of them were complaining to each other about the wait. In the Cafe's defence, I did overhear someone say that they had a new cook who was still finding his feet. So perhaps they were just having a bad day?Despite the wait, I would recommend this place for location and for the food which we felt was more than reasonable for the taste and quantity. I doubt you would find those prices anywhere else on Bribie Island.
I had the most awesome Breakfast and stayed for lunch i liked it that much. The people were awesome and friendly and i will be going back again. Thank you to Yvonne Clark the owner of Slice of Heaven who made us feel so welcome.
