Contribute Feedback What Shad Moen doesn't like about Mappen Noodle Bar:
Not as good as the original in the city.
Still it fits the bill for an easy quick cheap lunch. Alot of stuff is overpriced at Bondi Junction.
Surrounded by sushi trains.
Katsu curries are one of my faves. View all feedback.
Cheap eats in Bondi. They have branch in CBD as well. I had spicy tonkotsu ramen, hubby had udon soup and 3 kind tempuras. Even the tonkotsu broth not as thick as other place but overall taste ok. Tempura also nice. All food plus a can of green tea cost us $26. Not bad.
The noodle was still hard and I can't eat the soup because it's too spicy.. (I have ordered the same menu for several times in CBD but don't have any problem with it) I'm a huge fan of this place especially the one in CBD but not in this store actually...
Very fast and friendly service. You order and they cook it for you and then you add any sides and pay at the end of the counter. There are a selection of sauces and free add ons available. Very clean and very cheap.
I was a few times because of his proximity to Westfield bondi junction and the railway station here and it was not disappointed. just like the cbd mappen was the kaarage chickenramen tasty and filled. the bondi store is actually a little cheaper and more generous and welcoming. the personal was really friendly and the service was fast and efficient. I would recommend for a fast, cheap and tasty eating if they were in the mood to eat Japanese while shopping at bondi junction. read my contribution for more [hidden link]
While visiting Sydney.... we visited this popular cheap noodle bar to be disappointed. Although cheap, the quality was just not there. The noodles were put together on the spot and the soup broth was taken from a large thermos!!!! *face palm*
