Been there twice for two very different events and both times had a great night and the staff along with the security there are top people so I highly recommend it View all feedback.
What S doesn't like about El Topo Mexican:
Unless it's a special event (like halloween) El Topo basement usually has a 75% chance of being close to empty, really dissapointing. For bigger events if you arrive early it takes 0.30-1 hour for the venue to fill up, any other normal day or irelevant event it never fills up and it stays really empty (7-21 people at most). Bouncers are hectic tho. View all feedback.
A Mexican bar with no margaritas.. this shouldn't be allowed to exist... barely any drink selections in general...
The security and management at this club was terrible. the bouncer told us we had to leave immediately and speak to the managers. the managers said i was showing signs of intoxication and that 's why i had been kicked out. i hadn 't even been in the club for an hour and had 2 drinks all night. really they reached capacity and decided to kick out the people they perceived as the most drunk, assuming they wouldn 't buy anymore drinks so that they could get more people in to make money. don 't come here unless you want a bad night out and a conversation with the manager who is the most seedy, deluded and narcissistic pig i 've ever met.
Just 3 hours spent in the El Topo Basement has me keen to return for future events. Great environment with plenty of space to chill out.
