Amazingly good pies. Drove all the way from strathfield to try the pies from here. Very flakey pastry kind melts in the mouth. Fully Vegan pies with meaty textures. Loved the fresh ingredients they put into it and the mash potatoes with pea are excellent. Suitable for non vegans too as an intro to vegan diets. Care is taken to ensure quailty of the pies are done on the spot. View all feedback.
What Diamond Swift doesn't like about Funky Pies:
The pies were amazing and tasted completely not vegan, and they were great with the peas, mash and gravy on the side, however as we went for dinner they were lacking options so I suggest going there for lunch. Don’t be shocked when you arrive to find that funky pies is a tiny (I repeat, tiny) place with minimal seating and an open kitchen...which didn’t really create for a good atmosphere. Didn’t have many expectations when I tried this place initially but it’s become a go to when I want something quick! The pies are all vegan and can come with mash and peas, the gravy is phenomenal and there’s heaps of interesting flavours to try
Really delicious pies and smoothies here! All vegan and just up the road from the Bondi beach! Definitely worth a visit!
I had the best pie of my life. I tried the “funky chunky” and I travelled back in time and reminded me of my dad’s home made gravy… but vegan! Just amazing Thank you
