Contribute FeedbackThe restaurant in question has received a range of reviews, both positive and negative. While some found the food disappointing, particularly noting tough pickled vegetables and lackluster flavors in dishes like tuna tartare and hamburgers, others praised the delicious mains like Nduja linguine and raw tuna donburi. The atmosphere was consistently described as lovely and welcoming, with iconic Australian classics on the menu. However, some reviewers felt that the wine list needed improvement and that prices were on the higher side. Despite differing opinions on certain aspects of the experience, the restaurant seems to consistently provide fresh, well-cooked food and friendly service. With a mix of positive and negative feedback, it's clear that the restaurant may still be worth a visit for those looking for a cozy ambiance and tasty cuisine.
This is a great example of a fine dining experienceI was welcomed as soon as I walked in.
Cute place with good foodI had a late lunch here from a recommendation from my cousin who was here a week prior and I'm glad I stopped by.
Conflicting opinions because the food was great but the service was literally barely there.
No soap in the bathroom ,rare steak came well done after 35 minutes ,the Bondi branch is not up to the standard of the other two.management please note.
Disappointing. We’ve been here a few times over the years but last night was well below the standard we’ve come to expect from a venerable institution. Pickled vegs were tough and huge, requiring a steak knife to cut. The tuna tartare was satisfactory but lacked flavour. The hamburger also lacked flavour and had some strange toppings. The wine we chose was excellent. Helm can sav.
