I have been a loyal customer of Su's for around 30 years and in my opinion, they are the best fish and chip shop I have ever been to. Despite there being other options nearby, Su's stands out as the top choice. Even when I worked at a different chippy, I always made sure to stop by Su's for their delicious food after my shift. Very disappointed to receive another sad greasy mess that sticks to the paper in a pool of grease. While the chips sat in paper the fish was cooked to order, taken out of the fryer and placed in paper. however, on checking it was decided not yet cooked and thrown back inside. Eventually retrieved from the fat and dropped directly onto the same paper. The result was a soggy mess of fish mixed with paper when we got home. We used to love this chippy but will now go elsewhere. It used to be good but we can no longer recommend it. [hidden link]
Greasy chips and tasteless fish. Vastly overrated reviews! My recommendation is avoid this place at all costs
The service and price were very good, the food was really good too.
Visited tonight as our usual local chippy wasn't open. Excellent food. Fish is great. Reasonable prices. Service was very quick. Even chucked in a small freebie. We'll be coming back.
