It was mid afternoon so the place was fairly quiet, we explained we just wanted a drink and all was well until we asked where we could sit. What a drama! We were made to feel awkward and very unwelcome despite there being more tables empty than occupied. And the cost of 2 drinks (a lager and a wine spritzer) almost £15! Thought I must be in London rather than a pretty dark and dingy pub in Worksop. Needless to say, won't be returning anytime soon. Customers have a choice of where to spend their money.

The venue is lovely, everyone's food was good, reasonable po... read more Had a private room upstairs, the Library, for an 18th birthday celebration with family and friends. The venue is lovely, everyone's food was good, reasonable portions and tasty. The staff who looked after us were nice too, chatty and pleasant. The bill was little overpriced. The landlady was awful though, unfortunately this is what will stick in our minds as the experience of that day. Just no way this woman should be in a customer facing job let alone be a publican.
