The restaurant is fantastic and a lovely place to dine. Our evening was fantastic and we enjoyed it so much that we plan on returning later in the week. The price per person ranges between £40-50. The food, service, and atmosphere all receive a rating of 5. Highly recommended dishes include the Fish and Chips. View all feedback.
What LombosScott dislikes about Elm Tree:
Had a private room upstairs, the Library, for an 18th birthday celebration with family and friends. The venue is lovely, everyone's food was good, reasonable portions and tasty. The staff who looked after us were nice too, chatty and pleasant. The bill was little overpriced. The landlady was awful though, unfortunately this is what will stick in our minds as the experience of that day. Just no way this woman should b... View all feedback.
What can I say. I live in Cambridgeshire but originate from clowne. I organised a memorial gathering in the private room. Afternoon tea. Wonderful. Perfect room, wonderful food and service. I can't recommend them enough. Sue is wonderful. Thank you.
Booked here as a party of 6. From arriving, everything was spot on. The table was a perfect size I hate it when you are bashing elbows with the person next to you) the choice of food was just right and the staff were attentive, without being intrusive. The food was exquisite, I had the Cajun chicken which melted in the mouth and the puddings were heavenly. Can’t wait to go back, a fantastic evening.
Went for a Sunday lunch and was not disappointed. The staff are very friendly and the service is quick and efficient. The food is some of the best in Derbyshire in my opinion. Will be making this a more weekly occurrence.
We have been twice now and both times it was brilliant. Scallops cooked to perfection, delicious and generous serving of lamb, really nice twist on the sea bass and beautiful pork belly. If I had to critique I'd love more variety on the cask ales but the wine list makes up for that!
