High Note Cafe

High Note Cafe
4.5 / 5 (3070 reviews)

Description

At High Note Café, diners encounter a distinctive 100% vegan menu featuring gluten-free options, including delightful brunch items and flavorful dishes like High Note Potatoes and house-made bread. While some patrons rave about the flavorful burritos and friendly service, others lament the lack of seasoning and disorganization. The atmosphere, adorned with local artwork, offers a cozy dining experience; however, service inconsistencies have sparked frustration. Despite the strong commitment to plant-based dining, some reviews highlight the need for improvement in food execution and staff training. Overall, High Note Café presents a promising yet uneven culinary journey.

High Note offers delicious food that happens to be vegan. It's not just good for vegan food, it's simply good food.

I, as a non-vegan, was pleasantly surprised by the delicious flavors and expert preparation of the brunch items at this restaurant. The blueberry pancakes were the best vegan pancakes I have ever tried, and I have tried many across different states! The staff was incredibly friendly, and the outdoor patio, while small, gets plenty of sunlight. However, it can get quite warm in the summer with no fans. Overall, an excellent vegan menu.

The cost is around $20 per person and the food is delicious. Honestly, it's difficult to believe that it's all vegan. The gyro sandwich is especially tasty.

We dropped in while driving to Portland it was absolutely worth the 30 minute detour! The cafe is quite small, dark and cozy. The staff is very friendly and the food is amazing, I had the French Dip made with house seitan and caramelized onion au jus. My partner had the breakfast sandwich with tofu scramble, bacon and potatoes on housemade Texas toast. Both were very hefty portions, entirely justifying the price. UPDATE: We visited again, for dinner this time, and it was even better! Astonishingly good cheesecake Can't rate this place highly enough. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $10–20 Recommended dishes: Tofu Scramble, French Dip Recommendation for vegetarians: Highly recommend Vegetarian offerings: Menu is all vegetarian Vegetarian options: It's actually all vegan. Parking space: Plenty of parking Parking options: Free of charge street parking, Paid street parking Parking: 20 minutes free street parking, but that's not enough time unless you have ordered ahead. We were there for 45+ minutes.
