Have traveled India since the Beatles met the guru and created the hippie trail. Love authentic unpretentious but delicious Indian cooking, recommend Thali and Masala Dosa. Real Indian Restaurant right down to Indian cabbies talking loud. Love it. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Maharaja's Eatery:
When there's no lamb in a 'chicken and lamb only' menu, you're off to a bad start. Onion Bhajis significantly undercooked; 'bendy poppadoms' almost like plastic - not crispy at all; rude staff who couldn't care less that you're there; incomplete order, and extremely greasy food. Complete waste of money. Will not be returning. Advice - go elsewhere. There are much better places. View all feedback.
The restaurant failed to impress with their chicken and lamb only menu, as there was no lamb available. The undercooked onion bhajis and bendy poppadoms were disappointing, lacking the desired crispiness. The staff was rude and indifferent to our presence, and our order was incomplete and overly greasy. Overall, it was a waste of money and we will not be returning. We recommend looking elsewhere for better dining options.
The restaurant offers authentic Indian cuisine with unique flavors that can't be found elsewhere. It was a pleasant surprise and the dessert was absolutely delicious. I will definitely be returning.
I have been traveling through India since the Beatles met the guru and established the hippie trail. I appreciate authentic, unpretentious, and delicious Indian cuisine. I highly recommend trying the Thali and Masala Dosa at this restaurant. It truly embodies the essence of a real Indian restaurant, right down to the loud conversations of Indian cabbies. I absolutely love it.
