Capitol Regent Restaurant

We visited on a Monday and the restaurant was empty. With no people there the aircon was far too cold. The service of course was excellent and the food tasty.

Been at the Cannon Park restaurant a number of times and it's always the same - good food and atrocious service. At this visit we watched 3 groups of tables walk out after waiting to have their order taken, another 2 groups left while waiting to be seated etc. etc. If it weren't our closest Chinese restaurant we probably wouldn't come back.

Great food but awful service. some of the worst ive ever had. scallops with honey pepper sauce is the best dish

Four of us went for dinner on Monday the public holiday of the Christmas weekend. We booked in advance and ordered our drinks (soft drinks only) as soon as we sat down. Fifteen minutes later we still hadn't been served our drinks, so asked where they were, the young waiter said that he thought someone else was getting them. Eventually two drinks arrived followed by the other two ten minutes later. Our food order had been taken and the entrees arrived quite promptly. After entrees we waited about 30 minutes before asking where our main meals were and were told that they would be out soon. After another 30 minutes I asked again and was told they were coming. About 15 minutes later the fried rice and one main came out followed by another two 10 minutes later. I was still waiting for my meal and after ten more minutes asked again where it was. The waitress told me they were very busy and said it would be out shortly. Ten minutes later it arrived after the rest of my family had finished eating and the fried rice was stone cold, so the rest of my family then had to sit and wait for me to finish eating. When we arrived there were only two couples in the restaurant and 30 minutes after we arrived a party of twelve came in and they were served and finished their meals before we even got ours. The food was lovely, but it certainly wasn't worth the inconvenience and lack of service. We were there for a total of almost three hours which is ridiculous for one round of drinks, an entree and main meal for four. We did make a complaint as we were leaving, but the staff member did not appear to care.

Rude waiter,as i can remember the waiters names were Darcy and Colby. The food was not good at all,very rushed the manger was always yelling and carrying on overall terrible night
