Nice place, simple, non-pretentious. The staff is very friendly. We got the catch of the day, arroz with coco, and a local beer. Perfect combination, not heavy, balanced flavour. Worth waiting the to minutes that takes this dish to prepare.
I used to be a regular customer of this place. At least once a week, besides the service, the noisy music, and supper dimmed lights at night that made you just guess the menu. But the food was good. Overpriced but good. However, this year...I was baffled by the meteoric rise in their prices! Since I used to eat lunch there, I checked for the cheapest main course. It was fish, the cheap white type you can get at the supermarket. The price in the menu was near up than the year (weeks) before, but OK, I ordered. It was good, with the same old tomato-flavored sauce they use for e-v-e-r-y-thing. But the bill was the offense: the system charged me more than the menu price! It was outrageous. Obviously I only paid for the menu price (already overpriced). I believe this restaurant has a new owner that wants to cash out quickly the investment. I rather want to believe that instead that this restaurant is owned by the most important Chef in the country. Either way, I am very disappointed, and don't recommend anyone to go there. You can get better service, food, atmosphere, for much less just few steps away.
