Ever... read more We have been to True many times while spending a few months in Florida during the winter. We love the crab-cakes! So fresh, large and absolutely delicious. Everyone we bring here agrees that the crab-cakes are amazing. I love the quiet patio with the fountain (unfortunately a place next door now has loud music but at least you can still hear your dinner companions). I also appreciate that there is a choice of 2 sides from a list of maybe 6. Many wine choices too. And all run by Robin and her husband~~both so cheerful and friendly!

Robin was very friendly, but we wish we had known in advance that we needed to pre-order a dozen blue crabs. We'll definitely give it a try next time!

Made reservations thru open table and it had to be res... read more This is a lil mom n pop restaurant that is MARVELOUS!!! We went for my birthday for Maryland style crabs. Made reservations thru open table and it had to be rescheduled because they were closing a little earlier due to “hurricane Isaias”. We got there earlier the same day and Robin, the owner, was there to greet us along w/ her husband. We ordered a few beers and starters, 50/50 soup for myself and the famous cream crab soup for him (THE BEST SOUP EVER). While there we noticed quite a few patrons coming in to pick up crabs for take out since they are cooked to order I asked if we could order so the wait wouldn’t be so long. UNBEKNOWNST TO US the crab orders have to be placed by Thursday for Saturday pickup. I almost cried but Robin saved the day. She looked at her online orders and she told us we could take the last dozen crabs and as they had ordered too many. THANK GOODNESS!!! It took about 20 mins for the crabs to get to the table from the fire and OMG I cannot wait to go back. They were so fresh and seasoned well with the old bay. And even though she closed early she allowed us to finish the crabs there while she “cleaned up” I said that because she was just being nice the place was spotless already!!! We ate the ENTIRE dozen as I’ve never done before. I couldn’t stop. Afterwards she asked if we wanted dessert but we were satisfied. She gave me a birthday slice of pie to go of my choice and I chose Key Lime which was also good and tart like I like it. Thank you for your hospitality and I promise we will be back!!! PSA:::CALL AND ORDER THE CRABS BY THURSDAY SO THEY CAN ACCOMMODATE YOU...I lucked up.
