I was excited to visit this restaurant and I was not disappointed! While in Boca Raton, Texas, my wife and I were craving Cuban cuisine, so we decided to try this place. I ordered one of their three pork dishes and my wife had the mahi-mahi - both were delicious! The yucca and sweet plantains (soft, not crispy) were excellent as well. Even though there may be a wait, I highly recommend making the time to visit this r... View all feedback.

Place looks great after the remodel, but falls very flat when it comes to food, drinks and service. No flavor in their dishes! How does a Cuban place not have Cuban bread???? Weird. Don't waste your time coming here. Boca Raton needs a real Cuban place, not these amateurs.. View all feedback.
5 stars for a beautiful renovation and yummy Cuban cuisine that works in the restaurant and for the departure! (plus, the first padrino’s was opened in the 70s and although they don’t have several stands, the biz was still in the possession of the family that I was in the city and made a group pickup order. When we arrived to get the food, I was blown away from the decor! A gentleman I suspect is the manager when I grabbed a few photos, and told me that they had just recently refurbished the entire interieur. the bar looked great and it was super bright and welcoming. when it comes to eating, everyone was very satisfied! I would recommend the picadillo empanadas (pastry filled with spiced groundbeef. lined with our fresh Guayava-Chutney,) the mariquitas (herbal chips served with garlic sauce) and the grilled garnel salad (green with caramelized wobbles and red wine vinaigrette with grilled garnels.) I dreamt of the grilled garnels. they were sympathetic and worked so well with the caramelized wobble. I didn't even close the red wine vinaigrette because it was even tasteful enough. a great experience!
Padrino's always has very good food and service at reasonable prices I like their LECHON ASADO, slow roasted pork, seasoned with citrus mojo and topped with sautéed onions. Served with arroz moro and yucca. My wife likes their POLLO ASADO, slow roasted half chicken seasoned with a combination of fresh ground garlic and herbs topped with sautéed onions. Both are very good.

I had the bistec empanizado and it was horrible! The breading was a thick layer of a bread paste that over covered the meat and did not stick to meat at all plus the meat was tasteless. No flavor at all! The tostones were not fresh, but frozen kind. This restaurant is serving frozen food! If I want to eat frozen, I might as well make it at home.
Delicious Cuban food . The pastels are absolutely delicious. Full of flavor and the salsa they put on top is mouth watering good. Definitely recommend. Also live music on Saturday
