What a stunning restaurant in Boca Raton! The decor has a charming burlesque/Moulin Rouge vibe, which sets it apart from other dining spots in the area. The food at Fiolina is outstanding! I started with the meatballs, which were incredibly tender and paired with a delicious sauce—I highly recommend them. For my main course, I had the pasta and a risotto with short rib, and it was one of the best risottos I've ever tasted, bursting with flavor! The drinks were also fantastic; I tried a zero-proof spritz that was surprisingly delightful. Our waitress was very kind and provided excellent recommendations, including the risotto. Overall, I am very pleased with the entire experience and will definitely return. Out of the three entrees we tried, the Short Rib was overly fatty and had to be returned, while the accompanying risotto was excessively creamy, almost soupy. On a positive note, the Cioppino was excellent, featuring fresh seafood with a delightful variety. The Branzino Puttanesca was satisfactory but quite small, and it didn’t come with any side of pasta or potatoes, leaving me still hungry and needing to find something else to eat afterward. Overall, I found the prices to be too high for what we received. I would recommend that management consider adding a starch to the menu. Our server, whose name I can’t remember, was knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive. The decor was lovely, and I really appreciated the design of the dining area. In summary, with a few menu tweaks, this restaurant has the potential to be excellent, but for now, the Short Rib was a definite disappointment and the Branzino felt overpriced.
