I love this place.

I just wish they offered boat rentals!

The location is wonderful and the views of the... read more We were looking for a place to stay and break up the long drive from Eugene to Joseph and found the River Lodge. The location is wonderful and the views of the river are outstanding. We have found the staff to be friendly and helpful and the motel is pet friendly. We look forward too staying in one of the cabins on our way home.

The breadsticks were disappoint... read more The drinks were enjoyable, but we waited over an hour for our food, during which time only one other table received their meals. The breadsticks were disappointing — they were very doughy, greasy, and almost wet, with no flavor whatsoever. My girlfriend’s steak sat in the window for about 10 minutes, as our server was waiting for another dish (so I don’t blame her for that). Unfortunately, when it finally arrived, the steak was overcooked. The spaghetti sauce tasted like plain tomato sauce with no seasoning. On a positive note, our server, Lisa F., was fantastic; she was friendly and clearly made an effort to enhance our experience. However, given the overall experience, we regret to say that we won’t be returning.

My wipes were bl... read more So we come in and I immediately see big smears of crusty brown stuff on the closet door. I grabbed wipes and began wiping the entire room down. My wipes were black when done. Does the bathroom floor EVER get scrubbed?? The vending and ice area on the 2nd floor was vending only. No ice to be seen. There is 1 …ONE.. large USB charger on each side of the bed and 2 plugs. Not enough considering my husbands work and all the devices we need plugged in. Next is housekeeping knocking on the door at 8:15 am asking if we need anything? We got here LAST NIGHT. This is the first for me and my ONLY day away from home and kids and an opportunity to sleep in. I was unhappy to say the least. Just coming in and seeing the obvious dirt made me question sitting on the couch or walking barefoot. Silent shiver* I had to come back to add I waited to this private bathroom opportunity. No kids. No dogs. No noise, just me. The water NEVER got hot enough to take My goose pimples away but after struggling with the nasty crusty shower head I was able to wrestle it to a setting that provided ample flow. That was appreciated since I had to hurry due to cold h2O. Also, the microwave is itty bitty, the fridge tiny as well. The coffee pot? A joke and the towel bars in the bathroom… as I went to steady myself as I hung my towel, ya I’m vertically challenged, it too was plastic. A plastic bar shelf. Hmmm the scenery here is breathtaking. I’m shocked the hotel is so outdated
