San Jose - Blythewood

Good food, bad staff. I would start saying that this restaurant has great food. I got the San Jose Fajita and it came out quickly. The problem I had with this place is the staff itself. I sat at the bar and waited 15 minutes before someone would ask me if I wanted to drink, or even bring chips. Then I ordered my food, got it fast and was barely checked for a refill. After I finished my meal, I asked about my check. I sat on my check for another 15-20 minutes. That was a little frustrating. One thing I'm going to point out is that you can't say how busy this place is while you sit at the bar. Although I feel the right administration, the place could run smoother. I saw several waiters and waiters who make their own drinks behind the bar. Some frustrated with others because they did not return the stuff where it belonged. Several people are waiting to be sitting, and employees are walking around to do everything unorganized. If they had a bigger one, a bartender and waiter/witresses, the thing would certainly run much smoother. Design roles and stay with them. Although, I've never run a restaurant, so I'm not going to go too far into details about something I'm not inflated. So I'd go back and hope the service got better.

We like the restaurant and food and we go often. I must say that the Chile Relleno is a fail and should either be done correctly or removed from the menu. We got a 1-2 square of chile and a cup of ground beef and cheese. Anyone can google chile Relleno and see the standard dish vs photo I provided. It's not my fault I've been down the road and seen many a traditional chile Relleno lol!

San Jose had delicious food, great service, and awesome prices. We came here for lunch May 6 and our host/server Kris was super friendly, funny, and prompt. We tried the chicken chimichanga, the tamales, and more. The four of us had no complaints and all enjoyed our food. If you want delicious Mexican food I'd suggest giving it a try.
