This place is a disgrace for Mexican food. Please, their tortillas are plastic, or at least that 's how they taste and feel. I ordered the combination fajita and my plate was 90% peppers and onions, the tomatoes on my plate tasted rotten. The only good thing about my entire dish was the side beans. El Puerto Mexican Restaurant is a decent enough place to grab a Mexican meal in the relatively smaller community of Blytheville, Arkansas, which is about an hour outside of Memphis, Tennessee. The service was friendly enough and I had a burrito, which was decent enough.
I always like eating here when I am in town visiting family. It's not the greatest Mexican restaurant ever, but it satisfies me.
We met some friends and their family at this restaurant on Christmas Eve. Although there were about 15 people in our group, and the kids sat at different tables from the adults, the service was great. They even did a great job separating the checks. I ordered a grilled chicken breast smothered with white cheese, peppers, onions and tomatoes. It was seasoned and cooked well. My hubs ordered the carne asada tacos, and there was so much meat on them he couldn't finish them all. The prices were on par with other Mexican restaurants in the area (much less expensive than restaurants here).
