Choo Choo Bbq Xpress - Bluffton

Ribs and pulled pork were very flavorful. Service great. Definitely will be back. It was actually better and cheaper than Bluffton BBQ and Frankie Bones and One Hot Mamas. Good sized portion. Slaw, beans and potato salad were great. Not much ambiencebut who cares about that when you get a great meal at a great price

Once I saw the name I knew I had to try the Choo Choo BBQ. It's billed as a train themed restaurant. I'm not gonna lie, I had visions of electric trains delivering our lunches dancing in my mind, but alas, it was not to be. There are some electrictrains, but they are not moving. There is other train related brick-a-brack about the place but nothing that inspiring. There isa train car, but I am guessing that was actually the kitchen and was on the other side of the smoker from where guest seating isarranged. The food was okay. I really enjoyed the baked beans but the mac&cheese was a let down. The pulled pork sandwich wasnice and there was a choice of 4 BBQ sauces. Drinks come in cans and bottles, so no fountain drinks refills here. Last was theprice: $12 for a sandwich and two sides. Another $1 (I think) for the can of Coke. Honestly, a bit too much for the size andquality of the meal. Then again, prices of everything these days are pretty crazy so I am not holding that against them toohard.

I have eaten here over 20 times over the past couple of years. It has been great every time. Prices are reasonable, service is prompt, meat and sides are excellent. By far the best barbecue in Hilton Head/Bluffton area. Keep in mind that this is thereal deal. The meat is smoked and you can see/smell the smoker as you pull into the parking lot. This is not a place wheresugary sauces are slathered on the meat. Some of the negative reviews appear to be from people who are used to eating McRibs. Toeach their own, but they should not try to compare Choo Choo to a fast food meal.

Plenty of parking. The place is small but the food has big flavor. I got the half rack of ribs and they were Incredibly tender. As a group we shared the chicken wings. These were also good. The restaurant leaves different sauces on the table for you totry You order at a small window in the restaurant, but the staff brings your meal out to you. When I come back to Blufton,I?ll be back.

This is the best damn BBQ! Everything is good here! You can buy a pound of whatever meat! I haven?t done it yet but I?m going to start! Absolutely obsessed with this place I would come here everyday if I could! Super awesome employees and great set up too!Love this place lost for words!
