Family owned and run BBQ spot. One of the best I have been to. Owner uses real wood smokers instead of the electric setup. Homemade deserts and amazing sides. I recommend the ribs, wings, or when they have it the prime rib! ?Only open Wednesday through Saturday. They still have a filling $9.50 lunch special.Waitresses always smile so I always tip well here. View all feedback.
What Ron Huber doesn't like about Carroll's Barbeque:
My wife and I enjoyed a trek to Blue Ridge GA today. We dined in at Carroll’s BBQ, and had the Pork BBQ lunch special 9.50 — This included the pork bbq sandwich, tots/fries, and a coke. The cashier was very friendly, and helpful. She suggested the Brisket, as we had not been— but wasn’t on the lunch special ….Probably should have. The Pork was just fair… Smokey, a bit dry, and the bun was just mehhh—Their mustard sau... View all feedback.
We really liked this place. The atmosphere is not loud, simple and good with generous meals. It's a good family square. The potato salad tastes like the family and the Koleslaw is also really good. Meat is juicy. We had a super sweet waitress, the hostess was a doll. Your homemade BBQ sauce is yummo!
Very good smokey and delicate turkey. The pulled pig was also very tender. I have a serious affection for sweet potatoes, and their are the right k d of crispy. My husband and I both liked the Cole Slav who can be subjective.
All other menu items aside, Carrolls earns 5 stars only for their amazing bride. It was so soft and delicate, while with great taste. Their hot and spicy sauce is also a big WOW! Zesty during this great BBQ taste. We had to buy a bottle. Your Cobbler was delicious and so a generous part for the price. I'd like to stop here again!
All the food was so good. Only 2 pictures, all the others started eating quickly. Also gluten-free options! Beans were my favorite part.
A great local BBQ haunt to enjoy freshly smoked chicken and other mountain delicacies. Carroll's, like so many places right now, is under-staffed. They have instituted an incentive program for their waiters and waitressses, which is great. It took about 15 minutes to get seated on a Friday night--but that's expected. The menu looms large in the oversized entrance lobby, so you can take the opportunity to select some delicious fare. The prices are reasonable with plates and two sides costing just $12. However, there is a markup for premium meat like $2 extra for brisket. The half chicken is still just $12. The service was good and fast considering how busy it was. I ordered the brisket, and my wife, the chicken. When the plates arrived, I immediately regretted my choice. The brisket serving (despite the premium upcharge) was tiny. The sides were the in the wee paper trays like Long John Silver's. So that did not make up for the small meat portion. I would have left hungry but for my beautiful and compassionate wife, who pulled off some of her ample half-chicken to donate to the famine next door. This is obviously a non-corporate, non-franchise, mom and pop business, so I'd still go back. But in the interest of world hunger, I recommend ordering the chicken.
