Absolutely one of the best omeletts of my life. The place was quiet, although surprised, I enjoyed that also. I'm not from the area, or I'd be back more and sooner. But when I find myself over there, this will be a stop. Make it your business to stop by also. Back again, finally. It's still great. Was busy when we walked in. It's always a good sign. Made an omelette. Bacon, feta, spinach. Funny interaction with the w... View all feedback.
What Maria C doesn't like about Blue Point Diner:
Used to go there all the time, reasonable. good breakfast and Greek salads and burgers..used to go for pea soup in winter,, until one day, found cardboard in my pea soup! Ugggh View all feedback.
Staff service are second to none. Always treats my family like gold. Amazing banana pancakes, omelets, French toast soups! Love this place!!
This is a tough review to write because I enjoyed my meal and loved the ambiance. However, I cannot figure out how I was charged over $37 for a cup of soup, a tuna melt, an iced tea, and rice pudding. I have no idea what I was charged for the soup or sandwich bc the prices weren't listed. I'm not one to complain, so I paid and left. I'd return, but cannot justify that amount of money for something I can prepare at home. Oh my goodness, I'm editing this review to mention that when I finally tried the rice pudding, the rice was not properly cooked! It was hard and very chewy so I had to throw it out. I had originally given three stars; now I'm giving just two stars for this terrible (and extremely overpriced) experience. Stay away!
Really cute diner. I live down the street and always passed it and finally decided to go in. Had the Philly cheesesteak and was pleasantly surprised. It was so good. The fries were really great too. Extra crispy! We also got pancakes the were massive and super good. Definitely will be back :
Hi My friends, and welcome to Blue Point Long Island. For over 10 years I lived in this peaceful maritime area. This beautiful Waterfront community is situated on the East End of the South Shores of Long Island. Bordering Western Patchogue. Boating, beaches and fishing are just a few minutes walk from this spot. For years, The Blue Point Diner has been a wonderful neighborhood local spot where my friends and I would enjoy breakfast, lunch and dinner. You'll always feel welcome in this little roadside Diner where everybody knows your name. The daily newspapers are available.. but usually not needed here at the Blue Point Diner. Early in the morning it's alive with neighborhood activity, it's is the center of gossip and conversations for this community. You can find out who's getting divorced, who's selling their house or who just got a brand new speed boat. Wake up and find out all the morning town gossip just by having breakfast here. The owner and head chef George, usually knows what you'll want to eat without you needing a menu, he knows all of his customers and Friends by name. And he knows what you usually get. Everybody in Blue Point has been coming here for years. It was great to have breakfast at the Blue Point Diner again, I have missed my peaceful, waterside community since moving to Flushing 5 years ago. Walking in this morning, the owner George, remembered me immediately. My absence of 5 years was like moments, and he filled me in on all the neighborhood gossip. And of course, he knew what I wanted, the deluxe pancake special. The food was wonderful fresh and delicious as it always has been. The quality of the breakfast sausage and bacon is a little better than some other breakfast places you might find. Everything here is made with care from scratch. I'm very picky about my food and read some of the other reviews. For this spot. I'd like to say that I've been in here over 50 times in 10 years. I've never seen anything other than a spotlessly clean establishment serving fresh, top quality, homemade food. I just loved coming here to start my day. Some of my best memories. For breakfast lunch or dinner folks, You can't go wrong at the Blue Point Diner. Owned and operated by a local family of hard-working, caring people. See you again soon folks.
Great retro diner with good food and friendly service! Classic breakfast, Greek Salad and gyros.
