What Rena P doesn't like about Connelly's Kitchen Too:
We stopped here for breakfast on our way to South Carolina. The meal was quite reasonable for the price. The service was good, and it seemed like they have a lot of regular customers. View all feedback.
I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant! I've finally found a nearby spot that caters to vegetarians! The service was friendly and laid-back, the atmosphere was delightful, and the food was amazing! On top of that, they offer hot herbal tea for all the tea enthusiasts. Unlike many other places that claim to serve hot tea, they truly have it! My husband, who loves meat, and I, a vegetarian, will definitely be coming back!
I'm not sure which restaurants the other reviewers are mentioning, but they can't be talking about this one. The food was as cold as the service. We were visiting from out of town and felt like we were being observed the entire time. Additionally, the restroom was out of order. Overall, while it was affordable, it was far from a pleasant experience.
Of course! Please share the restaurant review you'd like me to rewrite, and I'll gladly help you with it.
The sausage I had was overcooked and extremely dry, probably prepared hours ahead of time and kept in a lukewarm oven. The over-easy eggs were unappetizing, featuring the runniest whites I've ever seen, which was hard to stomach. Nobody wants their breakfast to look like something unpleasant. The hash browns followed suit, being lukewarm and bland. I wasn't offered a choice of toast, and the slice of white bread turned out to be the highlight of the meal—how do you even mess up toast? Unfortunately, it was served at a lukewarm temperature as well. On a positive note, the coffee was decent! However, after being asked for a refill just 45 seconds after receiving our first cups, we were never approached again, so we missed out on a second serving. **Service:** Aside from that initial coffee refill request, no one checked in on us for the rest of our meal. **Atmosphere:** The decor echoed the overall lack of care; a "Happy Halloween" sign was still hanging up well into November. **Employees:** Most staff seemed more interested in their iPhones than in serving customers, and I overheard them openly complaining about a colleague who was absent. **Overall:** Our visit took place during the busy Sunday rush after church, which is typically a peak time for breakfast places, yet the restaurant was nearly empty. It's no wonder, considering the experience we had. I can only assume that a few family members were convinced—or compensated—to leave positive reviews. If I were the owner of this establishment, I would consider letting everyone go, starting anew, and working hard to restore my reputation. It may sound harsh, but it reflects the truth of the situation.
The food was exceptional, and the service was top-notch!
