Times Past Inn - Bloomington

I decided to go out for breakfast today, but I ended up feeling quite disappointed with my meal. On the positive side, the waitress kept my coffee topped up and brought my check promptly after I finished eating; however, she didn’t check in to see if I wanted anything else. I ordered an omelet and French toast. Unfortunately, the omelet had tough, dry pieces of meat in it, and the French toast was among the worst I’ve had. The middle of the bread was still dry, and it seemed like the cinnamon had barely made its way into the dish, almost as if it had been sprinkled from a bottle next to the egg and milk—there was hardly any flavor at all. The dining room was quite empty, with only a couple of tables occupied, and only one other person came in while I was there for 40 minutes. I really hope this isn't an indication of their future. I remember having a much better dining experience elsewhere.

My friend and I were told to leave and were accused of being disrespectful after we tried to get a server's attention to compliment the food. This was incredibly rude, and I will make it a point to warn others not to dine here.

I absolutely love TPI! It really offers a great experience with affordable, delicious food and friendly staff. Time spent there is always enjoyable.

The skill was delicious! Easy to cook at home! The cinnamon roll was more of just one role with icing, but the waitress (which was great) told us that it is not their normal due to supply problems. Good breakfast!

The staff was friendly and always on top of things. I had the prime rib burger breakfast. And the burger was amazing!! It was perfectly cooked and flavored. And it practically melted in my mouth. If I am ever in Illinois again I will definitely return.
