This is a fantastic little hidden gem. The menu is extensive with plenty of options to choose from. The waitress was charming and generally attentive, though I never got my iced drink refilled. However, my father's and my partner's coffee cups were consistently full. View all feedback.

If I could give a zero I would. Owner waited on me at the bakery counter. I wanted to buy a variety of baked goods. The attitude she gave me was unbelievable for someone supposedly selling bakery items! Her scowl got worse when I asked for 2 dozen cookies. Best breakfast place we have found, lots of little Scandinavian treats too. It's a gem.

If I could give a zero I would. Owner waited on me at the bakery counter. I wanted to buy a variety of baked goods. The attitude she gave me was unbelievable for someone supposedly selling bakery items! Her scowl got worse when I asked for 2 dozen cookies. I stated I guess with this large order I should've called in ahead She said yeah At this point, I politely told her that I changed my mind. THEN she wanted to sell me bakery. I am pretty sure it was because there were other customers around at that point.I can tell you that I will not be a customer there again. Merry Christmas!

Great food and service. They do lefse and lutefisk right. I believe lutefisk is seasonal around this time of year. The Swedish meatballs are also excellent. The breakfast items have a great take on incorporating lefse and other Scandinavian ingredients.

I am leaving a 1 star rating after what happened at the taste of Scandinavia in Bloomington and their corporate office in little Canada starting on Dec. 18th and ending on Dec 19th of 2021. For reference I have ordered this cake from them for years almost every year for like 10yrs and I am a blind women. It’s the Birch Noel Jule log with mushrooms and looking like a birch log its a fantastic cake. However this year as I have in the past I wrote in the special instructions section of the order online that I would (as I have every year) prefer not to have the red holly and to have extra of the mushrooms. I was using my screen reader told them to email or call me with questions. We arrived on the 18th at the Bloomington MN store to pick up our cake they bring it out and there are one no mushrooms on it and two there is red holly on it which I am allergic to (red frosting) I could live without the mushrooms fine but basically they said they could scoop off the holly of course that won’t work and told that they called me and left me a message (they had not nor had they sent me an email which I had left them when I ordered the cake because I’m blin I make mistakes). The girl said we could call the baking manager Tina my mom said no Tina can call us hence the following day (for clarification we did ask and get our fifty dollars back) Tina calls the next morning and basically blames me and mom for the cake not being right. She would not stop talking to the point where I had to had the phone to my mom because she wasn’t listening to anything she kept talking over both me and my mom. My mom finally told her to stop blaming us and stop talking over her and asked what they were going to do to make it right my mom had to ask multiple times to tell her that she understands she would like to blame us for the problem but again what are they going to do to make it right I then asked my mom to ask her if we could still get a cake on the 19th the answer was an annoyed maybe. I was in tears (this was supposed to be my birthday cake my birthday is on the 22nd) My mom had to continue to interrupt the Tina person to get her to understand that at that point we no longer wanted the cake and that we would no longer be ordering from them in the future. I am very very disappointed in their service. I was argued with that they had called and left a message. They had not. Just know that if you order from the new owners they don’t care about your experience.

Definitely not going back. Me and my gf waited 20 mins for a table, which isn’t the problem. When we ordered our food, the waitress seemed very impatient. While in the process of choosing my dish, the server hurried and said I’ll grab your drink instead of taking my food order. The server who gave us our drinks acted as if she didn’t hear our complete order or inquiries. When we were finally able to put in our whole order, which was only 2 plates of food…we waited over 40 mins and there were people who walked in way after us that received their meals before us. Looking around the restaurant, we were literally the only ppl who had not been served. Just about everyone, even those who were seated after us were almost done eating. I wonder how long we would’ve waited had we not got up and left….

My thoughts on Taste Of Scandinavia bakery cafe ;When you walk in the people are friendly ,courteous , eager to help. They quickly get you seated and provide a beverage , they take and place your meal in short order. The furnishings are of good quality and the place is open and is very clean. The restaurant is adjacent to and apart of The independently Family owned gorcery Festival Foods , so the food is fresh daily and professionally prepared to your liking , I have been a repeat customer for a while and look forward to seeing the hard working staff a few times a week.

The thing is... This place blew me away. Zero idea what it's doing in a Festival foods front lobby and despite impeccable service, they still get 5 stars. Everyone in this place was working their tail off and it shows. Without a doubt. This place is a well oiled machine to put out incredible food (I sampled a lot) with exceptional quality.Taste of Scandinavia is more than authentic, it's more than atmosphere, it's more than unexpected; while all being an experience that I'll go back to.Well done.

Finding out-of-the-way spots like this are why we use Yelp. I was surprised just how tasty everything was. That is on top of the speed and friendly service. We are from out of state and wanted to try a few key foods we 've heard about. So our family of 4 stopped in on a weekend at morning and were seated immediately. The place is just inside of a grocery store, but worth seeking out. We loaded up on potato sausage, omelettes with wild rice, some kind of berry sauce, Swedish pancakes, and cardamom-laced French Toast. So tasty! No idea how legit this place is, but it had the authentic comfort food vibe we were looking for.

I was let down by the Scandinavian Strawberry Torte I ordered recently. This cake used to be a favorite of ours, and we had often served it at our kids' graduation parties in previous years. However, this time, the smaller cake had bruised strawberries on top, some of which were starting to mold. I had to remove them before serving the cake to our guests. Additionally, it appeared that cheaper ingredients were used in the cake. The filling layers were very thin, and the cake itself was dry and lacking in flavor.

I consistently order the Swiss cake known as Princess Torte for my birthdays year after year, and I've served it to about 16 people at a time. It never fails to impress! This delightful cake features layers of sponge cake, raspberry jam, vanilla pastry cream, and whipped cream, all beautifully wrapped in marzipan topped with a rose. It's simply delicious!

Wow, this place was incredible! The food was fantastic, and the service was outstanding. I tried the Fruit Waffles and the Turtle Latte—delicious! I will definitely return when I'm in the area again.

The food at this restaurant is consistently excellent. They serve the best fried chicken in the Twin Cities. Because of Covid, their hours are limited and they are only open until 4 PM. I highly recommend it!

This place is fantastic for breakfast and lunch. The food is fresh and has a charming Scandinavian flair. The service is warm and attentive.

This delightful little restaurant offers exquisite food and a warm, inviting atmosphere.

Ordering at this restaurant can be difficult because there are so many delicious options to choose from. It is one of my favorite places to go for brunch. During my most recent visit, I tried the Swedish wontons (which were amazing), the salmon scramble (generous portion size and very tasty, served with a delicious dill sauce and salsa), and the wild berry smoothie topped with whipped cream (highly recommended). I also enjoy their Norwegian lefsa breakfast and sweet Scandinavian lefse breakfast. Their hot chocolate is a must-try. The cakes are made to order and are wonderful, with a reasonable price for the quality and size you receive. I recently tried their Hummingbird Torte and found it to be a perfect balance of fruity flavors, moist cake, and icing. The staff at this restaurant are kind, helpful, and friendly. They offer various jams, pastries, and sweets for purchase in-store. Overall, I have always had positive experiences with this restaurant.

My wife and I started December off right with breakfast at Taste of Scandinavia. We were warmly welcomed by Debbie, who served us with great efficiency and friendliness. We tried two of the day's specials: a perfectly made Crab Asparagus Omelet and a delightful Blueberry French Toast accompanied by two eggs cooked over easy and bacon. The generous portions were expertly crafted by a talented chef who clearly knows how to satisfy their guests. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Tucked inside Festival Foods, this restaurant is a wonderful place for breakfast! We enjoyed the Swedish pancakes and Swedish Pyttipana. I chose Lefse in place of toast. The food was delightful, with each dish priced at around $12. Our waitress, Mena, was incredibly friendly and attentive. The service was both fast and outstanding.

This fantastic hidden gem features an extensive menu with generous portions. I tried the salmon scramble, which came with an entire filet on top of a three-egg mix of cheese and peppers, along with a multigrain pancake—absolutely delicious! Don’t be put off by the entrance, as you first have to walk through a grocery store. However, the restaurant's layout allows you to enjoy your meal without any view of the store. The menu variety, reasonable prices, and hearty portions make it well worth a visit.
