I ordered the spicy ahi tuna to be healthier today, and it tasted very good. The workers were very friendly, and I enjoyed my interactions with them. Crafted and Pokeworks are in the same building, so lunch was from Pokeworks and dessert came from Crafted. View all feedback.
What Jasmin Steele doesn't like about Pokeworks:
I ordered the sweet and crispy shrimp today and I feel robbed. I paid $15 believing I would receive something similar to the image and instead I have brown rice and 4 1/2 little shrimps. Unbelievable. The image clearly shows a lot more protein. This isn't even a meal. Panda Express gives larger portions at half the price. I really want to like Pokeworks, but I feel cheated. This is my second time trying... The first time, they included seaweed salad when I asked to remove it, so I was unable to eat my food. This time, I'll eat it, but it wasn't at all what was expected. I am frustrated and still hungry. I have included images of what was expected and what I received. I added the wonton strips but still nothing like picture.
First time trying Pokeworks and we were very pleased. Since it was our first time we were assisted in ordering and even received suggestions to build the flavors in the bowl. I will definitely be returning.
The nicest young men helped my spouse and I craft our first bowls today. I had the bang bang chicken and it is damn spicy. Crunchy toppings, crisp veggies and fluffy rice. My spouse had the ahi tuna which he said was flavorful and healthy tasting. I can see days where these bowls will be just what I need to hit the spot.
I am very disappointed after my experience today for lunch. I ordered the burrito and a side of seaweed salad. Staff is clearly untrained on how to make the burrito. I wasn?t paying attention to the wrapping at the end, but all the meat and toppings fell out and wasn?t included in the package. I was left with a burrito with rice, one shrimp, and a couple edamame that made it in there somehow. Not a single chunk of tuna or any other toppings. It was shocking how that many things were not wrapped in there. Maybe the staff removed the toppings before rolling? Also, the seaweed salad side was about 1 oz in a 4 oz package. This place has such a great opportunity to be a local staple with the concept, but they can?t figure out how to prepare items. The spicy tuna looked great! I wish I could?ve tasted it after paying for it. For a $20 lunch, I expect my meal to be prepared properly and staff trained. I feel like they owe me the meat and toppings that disappeared. My recommendation would be to only offer products that staff is trained to prepare. I feel misled and wish I ordered a bowl. I will update this rating if someone reaches out to me to correct this issue and I have a better experience. For now, I can only be feeling left hungry and sad after the worst lunch I?ve had in a very long time.
Hands down worst poke bowl ever. one tiny scoop of rice, ingredients were slim, as in 3 or 4 pieces of cucumber, avocado paste instead of pieces etc and the fish was not as fresh as the website likes to claim. For $20 I expected better. Much better places in the area.
