This restaurant is hands down the best meal I have had since living in Bloomington. There is no shortage of fantastic food options here. The beer menu not only features all of the Big Woods brews, but also other amazing beers on tap like Wootstout from Stone Brewing. The triple B burger, mixed grill, and BBQ nachos are absolutely delicious. The atmosphere, service, and food are all top-notch. View all feedback.
What Jon Ponto doesn't like about Big Woods:
Very disappointed. Pizza and bread sticks at the Bloomington location are nothing like the Nashville restaurant. We have been to the Nashville Big Woods many times and have always been very happy. Unfortunately, the pizza was only barely edible here and the bread sticks (if you've had them at Nashville, you'd know what I mean) completely sucked....and they were basically a hollow tube. Overall, my experience at this restaurant wasn't bad. I visited on a football Saturday well before the game started. It took around 20 minutes for someone to approach our table and take our drink order. The drinks also took about 20 minutes to arrive. However, the food was served fairly quickly and was quite enjoyable. I would rate the food a 5, the service a 3, and the atmosphere a 4 out of 5.
The food at this restaurant was excellent! I had the best Amaretto Sour I have ever tasted. I also enjoyed the pulled-pork sandwich and fries, which were delicious. I was disappointed that they didn't have any of their awesome t-shirts for sale. Overall, I would give the food a rating of 5, the service a rating of 4, and the atmosphere a rating of 4. The price per person for dinner was $20-30.
