Contribute FeedbackWhile it may have had its glory days, the FourWinds Resort is now in need of a serious renovation. With dirty rooms, lackluster service, and bugs infesting the bathrooms, this over $200 per night stay is not worth it. On the other hand, the hotel itself is stunning, with friendly and accommodating staff, making it a perfect spot for a relaxing weekend getaway. The Marina, though lacking in certain amenities, provides fantastic jet ski rentals with a helpful and friendly team. Overall, while the Resort may have its downsides, the Marina experience is highly recommended.
HORRIBLE PLACE. I was at this marina over 10 years ago. At that time the boaters had a lot of services on the dock including a store, showers and bathroom, gasoline and pump out. The slip rental was $2400. a year.NOW. The dock rent is $6000 and that includes nothing. The store gas and pump out are all gone. The bathroom is up the hill and is usually disgustingly dirty. I went in there once and the porcelain toilet was smashed. The staff is rude. One occasion I had to get sleep for work the next day. There was a loud party way after the quiet time. I called the security and they wanted me to find the source. I told them if they did their patrols they would hear the party. The contract is unreasonable and in fact they become your power of attorney when you sign it.
My issue was with the boat rental place. We stood in line for over 1 hour and 30 mins for us not to get the rental time reimbursed. Disappointed with this place on Saturday.
I’m sure FourWinds Resort was quite the resort in its day…not so much now. It is in need of a major makeover, not to mention a DEEP cleaning. The housekeeping staff needs to be fired. See photos. We went to front desk after entering room and asked for a can of bug spray for all the bugs in our bathroom. They wouldn’t give us one because of the chemicals. We were told they’d be down to spray but no one showed. We bought a can of bug spray and did it ourselves. I just hope we aren’t taking any of these bugs home!! This place is sad and should be so much better for an over $200/night room.
This is a fantastic spot for a weekend escape. The hotel was gorgeous and the staff were incredibly welcoming. The room had a breathtaking view. It's the perfect place to unwind and enjoy nature. I highly recommend it.
I decided to stay at this hotel because of its beautiful swimming pool. Unfortunately, upon my arrival, I was disappointed to see a sign at the check-in desk stating that the pool was closed for maintenance. I expressed my disappointment to the staff and brought it up again during my stay, hoping for some kind of compensation for the inconvenience. I also tried to contact the general manager by leaving five messages, but unfortunately, I did not receive any response. This lack of concern for their customers is truly disheartening.
