Description

A beloved small‑town diner dishing hearty New Mexican classics—Navajo tacos, green chile and sopapillas—served in generous portions with homemade sauces and wallet-friendly prices. Friendly, attentive service complements a roomy, Coca‑Cola‑adorned dining room and a shaded patio, making it popular with families, travelers and breakfast crowds. Vegetarian options and sizable drink refills add appeal; takeout is available though waits and takeout quality can vary.

I really enjoy visiting this restaurant with my husband. The food is delicious, and overall, it's a great experience. However, there is one waitress who is friendly but tends to flirt with my husband. Recently, they hired a short, slender Spanish girl who can't seem to take her eyes off him when we come in. So, ladies, if you have handsome husbands, be on guard!

After reading so many good reviews about this special restaurant especially know from experience that small town of Diners can serve the best food we dramatically disappointed with the Roadside restaurant. First, the restaurant was very short with what seemed just a waiting employee, cashier and orderer. We ordered food to go and it took almost 45 minutes to get our order. Nevertheless, the place was full, with people waiting to stay. The food was the last disappointment. Our new Mexican entrees were so bland, without seasonal or real taste. The green chili wasn't sharp at all. Bottom Line: We wouldn't eat in the Roadside restaurant in the future.

My wife had the Taco special, I had a Navajo Taco. Huge portions! You can taste the homemade taste and texture, we have often shared because it was so good. Taco bowls didn't break, but almost melted in my mouth, not sure I ever had something so good! Green Chile sauce on Navajo Taco was wonderful! HUGE soft drinks refilled and contain fresh sopapillas with honey for the desert! This PHENOMENAL meal costs 1/2 our delicious Durango meal on the previous day and the same as Denny's senior menu later in Gallup. Eat with the largest Mexican restaurants in the southwest!

My boyfriend and I stopped here for breakfast after spending the previous day in Navajo Dam. We were hoping for anything non-fast food to be open, and I am so glad we drove past this place and turned in. We both got vegetarian breakfast burritos, and they were awesome! The eggs were fluffy, hashbrowns crispy, just enough cheese, and the green chile was the perfect topper. Their salsa was also quite tasty as an added bonus. They filed the tortillas just the right amount to be able to eat it in the car without making a huge mess but didn't leave us with too much tortilla either. My boyfriend went into the restaurant to order and was quite entertained by all of the Coca-Cola memorabilia. A huge collection! Next time we are anywhere near Bloomfield, NM, we will definitely be going back!

Pilot Car in town for the night and couldn't take another fastfood supper. Excellent decision coming here. Doylynn was my waitress and was awesome as I bet her 4th grade class in Farmington also thinks. Food great. Had the special, a stuffed shredded beef sopapilla. Guacamole was also very good. Would definitely come back.
