The bartender was very friendly and the prices were reasonable. The indoor atmosphere is cozy, complemented by a spacious outdoor patio. I appreciated that they offer beer flights (4 samples) for just $8.50. The barrel-aged Hog Breath was particularly good. I also liked that they are experimenting with unique beer and sweet pairings, like s'mores beer and key lime beer. Overall, I think the beer quality could be better, which is why I gave it 3 stars, but this place certainly shows a lot of potential.
I have to admit, I really miss the old location with its historic building that gave it so much character. The new place has the typical brewery vibe, which is fine, but I don’t think the beer has gotten any better since the move. I tried the S'more, and while the whipped cream and graham cracker topping was a nice touch, that was about the only standout. The Coconut Porter was just average and nothing memorable, and the Oktoberfest didn’t have the traditional flavor I was hoping for. It seemed like the fermentation might have been off because the beer lacked depth. Unfortunately, the Barrel Aged Oktoberfest was disappointing, with a strong acidic, vinegary smell and an unpleasant barrel-aged flavor. It felt like it might have been contaminated in the barrel, as it was far from enjoyable.
Fantastic small-town brewery! I especially love the key lime sour and s'mores beer, but everything I've tried has been delicious. I highly recommend stopping by. Thursday night trivia is a lot of fun. Truly a great spot!
My wife Nora and I had the pleasure of visiting this brewery yesterday, and we were genuinely impressed—not just by the wide range of beers we sampled, but also by the warm hospitality extended to us by Michelle. We're from Nebraska and are in the Chippewa Falls area for a few days, enjoying some fantastic motorcycle rides. Michelle took the time to share the brewery's history and its current developments, which we greatly appreciated. We particularly loved the 715 Summer Ale and the Nut Brown, along with several other tastings. This brewery is a must-visit for anyone who loves craft beer and appreciates the artistry that breweries put into their products. Thank you so much, Michelle, for making our visit unforgettable! We will certainly stop by again the next time we are in the area.
During our trip from out of town, we were staying at Canoe Bay and were looking for a lunch spot nearby. We're so glad we chose Bloomer! The service was friendly, the beer selection was fantastic, and the pizza made in the oven behind the bar was delicious. We will definitely return the next time we are in Wisconsin!
