Significantly better food than most other restaurants in the area. It’s nice, but not “fancy” or pretentious. Worth a visit if you’re tired of the many laid back, ultra-casual spots. The menu features a lot of seafood, and I had the swordfish. It was one of the most masterfully cooked pieces of fish I’ve ever had, which is even more impressive for such a lean cut. For dessert, our table split both the bread pudding and shortcake; both of which were incredibly underwhelming and not worth ordering. As for drinks, the cocktail I had (the paper plane) was not strained at all, though I doubt it would have been much better if it had been. Service was excellent and without fault throughout our dinner. No issues there. Despite these small missteps, I still recommend it. Steer clear of the cocktails and desserts and you’ll have a great time.
Below expectations. The food was mediocre. The steak, which I ordered medium rare, was cooked too well done. The tuna could have used more seasoning. The high prices didn't match the quality. Additionally, although it was eventually resolved, they initially tried to squeeze our party into a table that was too small, making for an uncomfortable experience.
For my main course, I had the filet. I tend to be quite particular about my steaks, always opting for medium rare, and I often find that other restaurants serve it medium instead. But here, the steak was cooked to absolute perfection! It was incredibly tender, perhaps the best-cooked steak I’ve ever had. The skill required to achieve such a perfect filet in a large establishment, where even a slight misstep could lead to overcooking, is truly impressive. While there are many fantastic dining options on the island, I might just have to return for the scallops and steak once more before my trip ends!
Favorite restaurant on the island for my partner and me for over 25 years. The food never disappoints and it’s worth going just to experience the warm bread and garlic butter. Similar to other restaurants on the island, service was disappointing. We were a table of 9 squeezed into a corner. We ordered drinks and food when we sat and never saw the waiter again. We would have liked to have ordered a second round of drinks or would have settled for water refills but couldn’t get anyone’s attention. We finally had to request, and received, water refills when we got the check. We ordered steaks, fish, and chicken but no knives were provided so we all shared the three butter knives still on the table. All in all, while the food was excellent, my party would rather have been at a restaurant with a view and better service while on vacation. We’ll be back next year but I won’t be bringing friends as none of them were impressed…
