Dining at the Bled Castle Restaurant was an unforgettable experience. The view of Lake Bled from the castle is simply breathtaking, especially at sunset. The food was exquisite, with each dish beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. The wine selection perfectly complemented the meal, adding to the overall indulgence. To ensure you get the best table with the best view, booking is essential. The combination of stunning scenery and exceptional cuisine made for a truly magical evening. Highly recommended!
We booked our visit with dinner reservation together. They offer different options 4 or 6 course in our visit. The service was extremely professional and very nice, spaced out no rushing you to eat your dish. The castle itself provides really nice view to the lake and overall to Bled. One of the places you must experience on a visit to Lake Bled is Lake Bled Castle. Inside the castle, you will also find the Bled Castle restaurant which CAN offer stays with fantastic views. Here you should book your stay well in advance online. And when you have booked a table, you also get free entry to the castle (value €17 per adult). We had reserved a table to eat a 4-course dinner on Sunday, but this was canceled on the same day we were going there, we were only offered lunch on Monday, when we were told that dinner on Monday was fully booked. After some arguing, we were offered compensation in the form of 2 glasses of sparkling wine to move the reservation to lunch on Monday, which we then accepted. I would, however, have wished that we had canceled the entire reservation as our entire stay seemed like we were unwanted at the restaurant. Examples are that the waiter never asked if we wanted anything more to drink and almost ran away from us after telling us the contents of the dish. Because then I had to stop them and ask if we could have something more to drink, coffee for dessert or water on the table. I think the waiters were too busy getting the restaurant ready for a fully booked dinner service than caring about two guests who came for a late lunch. However, the food was very good! And was really the money! So if you want a really good meal, it can be recommended. On the other hand, the surrounding framework probably needs to be worked on. Finally, it should also be mentioned that there were several guests who passed by the restaurant who wanted a meal here. But was offered a reservation at 18:00 or at 20:00 noon. Possibly reservations had been canceled earlier in the day, but then we could have been called about this. All in all, good food, but the rest needs to be worked on Parking: Parking directly outside the castle is recommended, unless you want to go up 50+ metres.
