Been twice. Food is just ok. Some stuff really good. The atmosphere is awesome. Neat building. Bathrooms are awesome!!
Returned to Uptown Blanco Restaurant tonight. We were greeted by the manager, Moses. He was very friendly. The restaurant was fairly busy as it was Saturday evening. We ordered the polenta steak bites for an appetizer. They were flavorful and an interesting twist. Would definitely order again. Next up entrees. Crab cakes and chicken fried steak. They were tasty and generous portions. Live music rounded out evening for a relaxing and comfortable vibe. Uptown Blanco Restaurant is a very nice change of pace for our piece of the Hill Country.
We ate here to celebrate our wedding Anniversary. We had the truffle fries for an appetizer and the I had the crab cakes and my husband had the pork chop. Everything was excellent and our waitress was very attentive.
Moved to Blanco 8 months ago. COVId had things still kinda weird but as things got back to normal we were glad to finally get a chance to come into eat. I was angry with myself that we hadn?t come in sooner. The crab cakes were the best I have ever hadand I?ve had them all over the US. Not too much stuffing filler and plenty of moist crab bites with a beautiful sauce. I hadthe chicken fried steak because I saw in the reviews how so wine wise really liked it. Wow, also one of the best I have everhad. Perfect juicy bites from a delicate cut of beef. No grizzle! The gravy, mashed potato?s and asparagus were excellent. My wife had the Caesar salad with a piece of salmon added. She really liked it, I tried some and wasn?t as fond but still good. We followed up with the Crème Brûlée with blueberries which was delicious but could have been a bit bigger. Put me totalbill less tip was $125 with a bottle of wine. We?ll be back for sure!
