Description

**Experience at Casey's: A Mixed Bag**

Recent visits to Casey's reveal a contrast between outstanding cuisine and variable customer service. While the pizza, particularly its gluten-free crust, has garnered strong praise for its flavor and generous toppings, some interaction with the staff leaves much to be desired. Reports of unfriendly service and confusion over payment processes mar the experience, especially as late as closing time. However, certain staff members shine, providing warm and engaging service, suggesting inconsistencies in training and management. Overall, Casey’s remains a preferred stop for travelers seeking quality food, despite a few service hiccups that could be addressed.

The cashiers know me as a regular and are kind and friendly. The pizzas are bomb and they also seem to have whatever I need in stock within the fridges.

I travel throughout Nebraska, Iowa, and Central Missouri, and I have to say that this is one of the best-run Casey's I've come across. I usually make a point to stop at Casey's during my trips because I love their fountain Diet Coke, pizza, and the Casey's Points app. This location is always clean and consistently has food available in the warmer. The cups, straws, and lids are always well-stocked. Most of the time, it’s the same three or four ladies at the counter, and they are incredibly attentive as soon as you walk in—it's almost guaranteed that you’ll be greeted with a smile. You can tell the manager has high standards because the staff is always busy and productive, and the store is well-organized. If the management at Casey's is reading this, you should look into how this store operates and encourage other locations to follow their model, as they have truly figured out the perfect system.

I returned to the restaurant to pick up some additional donuts and joined the line again, but Joan didn’t acknowledge us at all. In contrast, the woman in the back who was making pizzas was incredibly friendly; she engaged with us and was very chatty. I believe she would be better suited at the front, while Joan could stay in the back, as she clearly lacks customer service skills. When we left, my husband wished Joan a good day, and all she said was “Yep.” I was quite disappointed with her attitude; it was really off-putting. After sharing our experience with others, we discovered that many people have had similar encounters with Joan, who is known for being unfriendly. Unfortunately, due to this poor service, we don’t plan to return anytime soon.

The staff member seemed unsure about how to handle a payment that was split between card and cash, and her demeanor implied that she wanted me to rush and leave. This was probably due to the fact that they close at 10 PM, and I arrived at 9:45 PM.

My boyfriend recently visited the restaurant, and he had an unpleasant experience with the cashier, who was an older woman. She was quite rude to him initially. However, when her boss arrived, her demeanor changed completely, and she became sweet and helpful.
