Planète Poutine - Blainville
Planète Poutine
Description
At a recently opened restaurant in Boucherville, poutine lovers have reported mixed experiences. While some diners lamented cold and dry fries, inadequate portions, and repetitive music, others celebrated the variety of poutine styles and fresh hot dogs available. A food truck version received rave reviews for its flavorful General Tao poutine. Ultimately, the consensus suggests that while some appreciate this quintessential Québécois dish, others find it disappointingly average and not worth the price. As diners weigh their options, the quest for the perfect poutine continues amidst a sea of varying opinions.

The restaurant experience was not terrible, but considering the price, it was a bit disappointing. I ordered the General Tso's chicken and my husband ordered the jalapeno dish.
Although we are not picky eaters, we were intrigued by the photos of the poutine at Planete Poutine. I ordered the General Tao poutine and my husband got the roll-dog. Unfortunately, we were both disappointed. The prices were quite high - $12 for the poutine and around $10 for the hot dog. The food was very average and not worth the high cost. We don't plan on returning to this restaurant.
After enjoying a delicious burger at the Goatrval Planet Goat restaurant during a trip, I decided to visit one of their closer branches in Blainville to relive the experience. However, I was extremely disappointed. The service was fine, but the burger itself was lacking. The meat was not as juicy, and the caramelized onions were a horror - they were completely missing.
Great service. The staff was very friendly and accommodating! The poutine was excellent! Do yourself and favour and do not skip Planète Poutine, you won’t be disappointed! Highly recommended!
