Great tour with friendly and knowledgeable staff. Generous servings at the tasting following the tour with the option of samples to take away for the designated drivers. Great that they offer something different with the New Spirit product; couldn't resist buying a bottle. The cafe is good too with very tasty paninis.
James at front of house made that visit. Awesome guy, easy to talk to and enjoys the craic. Worth the visit alone just for a natter with him. Also try their cafe, great food, the place was spotless and it shows the staff take pride in their work. Definitely will be back again next time I travel home to NI passing it not far off the A75. Oooooh and they have a good selection of whisky's and a gin or two which.you will definitely enjoy. Their whisky is easy drank with nice tones and flavours.
I had a delightful and informative two-hour tour at James. The tasting that followed was excellent, and it was well organized, allowing drivers to take their drams to enjoy later. Afterward, we had a lovely lunch at the café. Overall, it was a wonderful experience.
This is a large distillery with knowledgeable guides. I recommend booking in advance, as we showed up on the same day and were lucky enough to secure a spot on the last tour of the day. This allowed us to spend a few hours exploring nearby cities. The whisky tasting was excellent, and we even had the opportunity to try another variety. However, I didn’t give it a full five stars because, unlike another distillery we had visited, they didn't include free Dram glasses, which would have been a nice touch. Additionally, the restrooms were not in the cleanest condition.
