This restaurant is based in the basement of Westfield in Pitt Street. It has a very welcoming decor and a great atmosphere. The food was very tasty and the service was very prompt. The dumpling were a massive hit with our table. Simply the best...food New Shanghai has to offer. I will definitely be back again- just what you need after a long shopping day. View all feedback.
What Nadia Hermans doesn't like about New Shanghai – Bondi Junction:
The people that work here should be sent back to school to learn manners. Bad service left such a bad taste in my mouth, the food was not even worth it. Sorry, but you need to lift your game if you want to survive in...Sydney. There are many other better restaurant than this, I certainly would not part with my hard earned money for this type of low brow establishment. Don't bother coming here. View all feedback.
The food is great, the pan fried pork buns are very good but be prepared to wait. Orders come out fast once you actually order but each time I've been, they seat you and then leave you alone for a long time before coming back...to check if you would like drinks and to take your order.
Work colleagues and went here for lunch meeting. We ordered, the served every dish at minute intervals and forgot dishes, which we had to plead for. Only good thing is the rainbow chicken... Everything else you can get elsewhere for cheaper.
Best Shanghai cuisine in the Sydney CBD. You can watch the staff make the dumplings onsite so you know they’re fresh. They do get busy on Fridays though so make sure to get there early especially if you have a big group. Great alternative to...yumcha in the CBD.
No no no, seriously not good. Very average. Ordered through Foodora and got the Marinated Pork Ribs, Shepherd's Purse Pork Wontons Zha Jiang Noodles. I'm not sure if it's because it was delivery, it just wasn't great. Everything was served separately, which is...fine, but had to mix everything. The taste was not good, just so so average. The Pork Ribs was the only one that was half-way decent. I couldn't even finish it though. Really disappointed I missed out on my work dinner at Sea Bay so was craving good food, sigh. Total
