Was 201lesleyj at Cottage Cafe a mag?
The food at this restaurant was fantastic and definitely worth a visit. The staff were very mindful of COVID measures. Although the service was a bit slow, the chef apologized and explained that the large haddock dish was very popular. It was not a problem at all and well worth the wait. - Lesley Jones, Wigan. What TCmusicman dislikes about Cottage Cafe:
Such a pity this fish chip outlet uses the same cheap I assume oil as most of the other fish shops around Blackpool. It 's not a cheap meal so to be fair the quality should be spot on. Myself and my partner visited on 31-08-19 we were looking for somewhere to have breakfast after checking out of our hotel which didn't do breakfasts, it started pouring with rain and we found this place we were the only ones in at the time we ordered 2 breakfasts and two drinks which were lovely, we would definitely go again, the man and the lady who served us were very pleasant too

Step back in time! Clean and quiet, but go and support a local business! Try the grilled cod/salmon and salad for a healthy twist on fish&chips. At just 6.95 it's a bargain!

Popped into this cafe when passing as it looked clean and friendly. 4 of us had haddock and chips with cups of tea. The fish was fresh and well cooked, tea was nice and strong and served in a proper mug. The menu offered a good range of food but we were all keen on fish at the seaside. Staff were chatty and very helpful. The specials of the day were offered among with variations of the menu in case we had dietary preferences.
