What Gabriel Perera dislikes about Blaq:
We stayed at Kyah while on a weekender in the blue mountains. BLAQ was extremely well reviewed and of course very convenient. The grazing spread was very uninteresting and we were hesitant to pay an additional breakfast charge for the menu items. Coffee surprisingly was also not great and we ended up abandoning our cups for a takeaway down the road in Blackheath. Some minor improvements here could have made this a gr... View all feedback.
The dining experience has greatly improved since it opened. The operations run smoothly. Jess, the manager, is fantastic, and Darcy, our waiter, is attentive and friendly.
We enjoyed our eating and the service was great. we had a nice night and will be back

I had a wonderful experience at Kyah and Blaq when my wife took me there for my birthday. The staff was very friendly, but it seemed they were a bit short-staffed on the night we visited. It took a while for our drinks to arrive, but they kindly gifted them to us as an apology for the wait, which was a smart move. Because of that, they earned a 5-star rating instead of a potential 3-star for the slow service. The food was fantastic; I started with the tartare, which I loved, and then had the rump with chimichurri sauce—absolutely delicious. The next day, we returned for breakfast, and it was equally delightful!
