What Ozzy Gonzalez dislikes about Dipali:
Waited an hour and a half for a thimble sized bowl of what tasted like tinned tomatoes and 4 microscopic prawns, when quizzed about the quality the waiter just walked off. Family member payed while I was outside vomming which was disappointing as there is no way I'd pay for food and service like that. Have spent the last 24hrs on the toilet on the plus side I might drop a few pounds..... View all feedback.

I have been at this restaurant for 2 hours and all they seem to care about is online orders. There are only 11 people here and only a few of us have been served starters in that time. We are still waiting for our main courses, and it is a birthday celebration for someone turning 89 years old. The service is very poor, and there has been no apology for the delay. We were the first customers to arrive, yet others have received their food before us.
The service was amazing! There were seven of us and the food was beautifully presented. It all came out together and we all thought it was delicious. Can't wait to return!
We had out of town friends round for a rare visit last night. We Thought the Dipali was a reputable local Indian takeaway to use we have plenty of local choice for good Indian food but boy did we regret that decision. After chatting and realising we were all really hungry, We finally ordered our food at 19:50 with an estimated delivery time of 20:30 20:50 we were still waiting for our food at 21:15. We called them to be told it’s in its way will be there soon. We called again at 21.50 to be told ‘on its way’ we called again at 22:10 to be told ‘we don’t have your order can’t be found. We ended up going to Spice45 with a very late order to receive the most beautiful food and service. But the night had already been spoiled. Thanks Dipali. We will never use you again. And will advise any friends to avoid at all costs. Reputation damaged.
Ate here last night 26th March 2022. When we came in to sit down there was only another 6 customers, 4 of which were near the end of their meals. We were told sorry for the wait between popadoms and starters 30 min wait for the waiter to tell us they were to busy with phone orders. The restaurant was freezing, and other customers loud using inappropriate language.Wont be eating here again.

- **Service:** Dine-in - **Meal Type:** Dinner - **Price per Person:** £30–40 - **Food Rating:** 4/5 - **Service Rating:** 4/5 - **Atmosphere Rating:** 4/5 I highly recommend the Chicken Tikka Masala, Paneer Masala, Rogan Josh, Madras, and Curry.
The delivery was timely and the food arrived hot. However, I found the curry to be quite disappointing. It was overly oily and lacked the complex flavors I was hoping for. The menu hints that the meat is cooked separately and then added to a pre-made sauce, which might explain why the dish felt more like an oriental offering rather than an authentic Indian or Bangladeshi meal. Overall, my experience with the delivery service was satisfactory.
Food was excellent best I have had in a long time, although the managers accent was barely understandable apart from that an enjoyable meal especially when the manager arrived with the landline phone to take the card payment. Cannot remember an unpleasant meal. for an hour waiting for our meal, a party of about 20 people who came to us in over 20 minutes were served before us. no excuse for the terrible service. tweebel bhaji was more like a chocolate cookie. there were 3 visits to get my food. there can not even be 1 star. never again.
We've been going to dipali for about 15 years on almost weekly basis....we didn't want to go anywhere else! eating is consistently good and the staff is excellent.
