She brings with he... read more This restaurant has recently changed hand and has been taken over by Vanessa the previous owner of The Rose Garden Cafe at Blaby Golf Centre. She brings with her the ongoing excellence she was renowned for and I wish her well in this her new venture.

Potato was not hot and tuna mayo was very cold so it was a poor experience for me this time. Other person had a breakfast that was OK and tea was good.

We had purchased some fancy cakes from the Millar bakery earlier and brought them... read more I visited this cafe for the first time with my family when they came to visit. We had purchased some fancy cakes from the Millar bakery earlier and brought them with us in a bag. The drinks at the cafe were just average. We left the cafe at 4:45, but soon realized we had accidentally left the bag of cakes behind. We drove back and arrived at 4:55 to collect them, only to discover that the cafe had closed early, despite the sign saying they were open until 5. We went around to the back to see if they were still there and caught the staff with our bag of cakes in their hands. Instead of keeping the items safe behind the counter for us to collect the next day, they had helped themselves to one of the cakes. They didn't even deny it and simply handed the bag back, claiming they thought the cakes would be stale by the following day. It doesn't matter if the cakes would have gone off or not, as they were still someone's property. This incident highlights that the staff are willing to help themselves to customers' belongings without hesitation. I would advise others not to leave anything behind by accident, as it may not be honestly kept for you to collect later.
