Arrived mid-afternoon to a warm welcome from Meli... read more Stopped here on a trip last month (Jan and chose this hotel for its position in the town, and I am glad I did. Arrived mid-afternoon to a warm welcome from Melisa who took me up to show us our room, and then a...short walk to explain where the free car parking was. A plain but pleasant room on the second floor overlooking the pedestrian only street so no road noise. The only real sounds were the pleasant chimes of the glockenspiel clock just along the road. We ate in the hotel restaurant, dogs allowed in, and I can recommend the Oma Kathis schnitzel, a house speciality. Two courses to eat each, lots of drink and wine for two and change out of as well. The buffet breakfast the following morning was very varied and very generous also, it seemed to be well attended by some locals. All in all a central place to stay, within walking distance of the brewery and the rest of the town centre. A pleasant stay and everything that I had hoped for.

I usually eat in the bar area. my favorite.
