This Bigboy is known in Bismarck for a reason, much different than the main chain. So much so that most people here don't realize theirs more bigboy restaurants. View all feedback.
What T doesn't like about Big Boy:
Good food as always. Usually go for the pizza burgers, but decided to try the ham and cheese today. It was fantastic! Went during a busy time. Waited a half hour in line. Unfortunately, I got home with my items and the fries were missing. I wasn't about to go back and wait in the long line again. Or even bother calling during the busy time. I will be back, but not when they are busy like they were again. Usually I ch... View all feedback.
12/10 best place to get food in Bismarck! Not only do I live for their food I had such a wonderful bad experience at my last visit. I had ventured out in my fathers classic car not knowing that it was going to die on me in the Big Boy line at the window. Not only did the staff get my order finished quickly but the cashier and the manager came around to push the now dead car into the parking lot. I was so embarrassed but they handled it with precision and compassion. I had a great picnic in the park area while I awaited help and overall it was a great experience from a very embarrassing one. I highly recommend Big Boy not just for the food but because they have good people working there!
First time here and let me tell you people, I 've only ever seen this place on movies and cooking shows. And I 'm talking about since I was a child lol. So, I FINALLY got to live my childhood/adult dream of eating here in Bismarck of all places! Anyways, pizza burgers and double bacon cheeseburger flying style with a foot long coney with the ABSOLUTE MUST PURPLE COW WAS AMAZING!!!!!!!
Super fun experience and really fast service! They got drive-thru service down like no one else. If you want a fun dining experience from the 1950’s, this is the place. I had a double something flying style. I guess that’s a thing. So try this place and have a couple scoops of nostalgia.
Interesting place. We don't have Big Boy where we live, so this was a new experience for us. The drive-thru has multiple kiosks where you can order your food. The line moves fairly quickly. The menus are massive so you can see them from your car. The people in our group got burgers and barbecue beef. The barbecue beef is like what we call a sloppy joe. All of the sandwiches came with fries, so we had a lot of fries! Two of us tried the fries with gravy. It was okay. A couple of people in our party got the ice cream mixed with Reese's. Those were pretty great! The person who took our order and the person we interacted with at the pickup window were both very courteous. The grounds are very clean. After you pick up your food, there is an area with picnic tables.
Sometimes you just need a juicy burger, some fries and a milkshake. Simple American grub that tastes oh so good and it’s just what you NEED. On the rare occasion that I crave a burger, and if I had the choice to go anywhere it’d probably be Big Boy. It is very sad that there are so few locations now, so the fact that there is still an original and unchanged Big Boy in Bismarck is truly a miracle. Their burgers are unrivaled, and if you don’t know what a purple cow is and can go here, I IMPLORE you to get one! Hail to Big Boy, may they remain steady forever!
