Jay J's Seafood - Bishopville

So Google alerts me to new Camden, SC Jay J's Seafood. Flounder falling apart. Missing parts to order. Overcooked. Sides buried under overcooked greasy seafood, soggying sides with fish grease. I even gave them heads up, I was reviewing for google. Went back for my missing clam strips, and they overcooked that to rubberbands. Not all seafood is cooked in the same timeframe, and seafood oil must be changed regularly. No oversight, to meal prep or planning. Extremely greasy and slighty too salty. Price was reasonable, but a $17.99 piggly seafood broil is lightyears aheas of this place as far as food texture and taste. The taste if iver used cook8ng oil latent in the food, ruined it all the way. This place has potential, with the right ownership and professional staff. Nothing that you can't do better at home. I enjoyed the keylime cake though, very delicious. I wanted this to be a goid experience, but I can't even take more than 3 bites of this stuff. Maybe I came in on a bad day. The food was delicious and the #4 bucket was more than enough for 2 people. The scallops were like butter in your mouth.Will definitely be back.Susan Smith

Took my neighbor to get some fish and he was very satisfied with price and food. He said he will go back soon.

Very Very good food and nice people, will be going back!!

The portions were small and I didn't enjoy the take out containers even when dining in. The food didn't have any WOW factor. Wouldn't eat eat there again.
