Tried this local favorite ..... the apple fritter was very crunchy with chunks of apple and a sweet glaze. The interior was moist ...... I can see why this is so popular. I enjoyed the buttermilk bar ..... nice crispy outside with a moist inside. the rasberry jelly donut was fine but I preferred the cake donuts .....good stop if you're a donut fan. I hear it's a good idea to go early before they sell out of your favorites.
This is like so many L.A. donut shops. But, the only one of its kind in the high desert. If you're a homesick Angeleno, you'll be right at home. Suggest getting there as early as possible as the selection can get a bit thin later in the day. Quality and service excellent. Pricing fair. Strong recommend
Review of the Boston Creme donut. You should skip it unless you like a custard which tastes more like a lemon curd. The donut texture was fine, chocolate outside flavoring was good, but the custard tasted more like a lemon flavor. Not really that yellow egg custard.
This place is my childhood. Haven't lived in Bishop in 14 years, but I compare every donut I've had in that time to Hing's and nothing compares. Hands down the best
French curler donut holes are the bomb! Friendly service too! It's our go to stop in the AM on the way up to Mammoth.
Hing's Donuts in Bishop is a beloved, family-run gem known for its exceptional selection of fresh donuts and pastries. While some items like the Boston Cream donut may not meet traditional expectations, their apple fritters and buttermilk bars receive high praise. With a morning opening time of 5 AM and friendly service, customers enjoy delicious breakfast options alongside their sweet treats. Many visitors fondly recall childhood memories associated with the shop, reinforcing its status as a local favorite offering quality and value that surpasses competitors. Overall, Hing's is a must-visit destination for donut enthusiasts.

You have the best donuts I've ever tasted! They are a must-try. Kim and Hing are amazing people!
If you can avoid the tourist trap of Shat's Bakery and head to this hidden gem just a few blocks away from Starbucks with a freshly squeezed orange juice in hand, you’re in for a treat. The ham and cheese croissants are exceptional, even better than what you might find in Europe. They also have a nice selection of donuts that are quite tasty. However, the standout item is their large, filled square croissant—it's simply delicious!
I've tried donuts around the globe, and Hing Donuts rank among the best—maybe even the very best I've ever had. Plus, they open early, which is a huge bonus.
Love the donuts... The breakfast burritos not so much
Hing is my absolute favorite! You won't find a donut anywhere in the world that's as good as Hing's! Kim is fantastic! The prices are excellent for such a high-quality product. I can't recommend it enough—it's a must-visit when you're in Bishop!

Everything about Hing Donuts is outstanding! First and foremost, the owner is the most consistently professional, compassionate, and caring person I've ever encountered in a small food business. They genuinely care about their customers and go above and beyond to meet their needs and preferences. The donuts, croissants, and everything else are always fresh and incredibly delicious—never dry, stale, or greasy like many other places we've tried. Whenever I'm headed to Bishop, my Pop insists I bring back not just one, but two or more dozen of Hing’s amazing treats. We give them 10 stars! Hing Donuts truly are the best in the West!
Hing Donuts is amazing! Their donuts and pastries are all fresh and delicious, made daily. They also offer a great breakfast menu featuring croissants with eggs and your choice of sausage, bacon, cheese, or pepperoni—everything tastes fantastic. They serve fresh coffee, orange juice, apple juice, and milk as well. Hing Donuts opens at 5 AM, which is perfect for early risers. I work at Bishop Airport, and being from out of town and staying at a hotel nearby, I’ve stopped by three mornings just to enjoy their fantastic breakfast menu. Highly recommended!
Outstanding donuts from a family-run business that has been a staple in Bishop for many years. They are always reliable and incredibly delicious. Surprisingly, their quality surpasses that of Schat's donuts, and their prices are more competitive as well.
The donut shop is located on the north side of Main Street in Bishop. The staff was friendly, and the display case was well-filled in the early afternoon. They had a great variety of classic favorites, including old-fashioned, bars, glazed, and cake donuts. The donuts were fresh and delicious.
Review of the Boston Cream donut: I would suggest skipping this one unless you like custard with a pronounced lemon flavor. It tasted more like lemon curd than the classic custard you would expect. The donut's texture was fine, and the chocolate coating was enjoyable, but the custard did not have the rich yellow custard flavor I was anticipating.
