Feedback
Reviews praise Simpsons' sublime food, inventive tasting menus and warm atmosphere; a few guests note occasional service lapses and some worn decor.
Beautiful looking Georgian house from outside. sad, there is the excitement finished. bad greeting, as we have stayed in the opening lobby. then we waited for a drink order for at least minutes. in which the service was unorganized throughout the evening. we did not feel that the interior was going with the style of the own. eating was a tasting menu and there were some nicely presented dishes. However, the season seemed to be a general problem. at the end wait too long for the bill.
A few weeks ago I turned around and as if I had not already been depressed about the reach of my first quarter century, the birthday gods decided to bless me with two booking exams on my birthday. it would have been the worst birthday if my nice friend hadn't booked us a table in the simpsons x sticky Walnut collaboration as surprise (I say it was a surprise, but I accidentally ruined a few months ago by booking us a table and forced him to confess
Fantastic! there were 6 weeks waiting to come here on a Saturday night, but that was worth it. I can't remember what I had to eat since it was a couple of weeks ago, but I remember everything being fantastic. the service was very pleasant and attentive to the earth, instead of the pretentious employees they get in some Michelin star restaurants. very good and I am very happy about my visit.
I've never had a bad meal here. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Meal type: Lunch Price per person: £100+
I might be fussy perfectionist but for me the white tablecloths or at least some tablecloths not necessarily white should be on the tables! As I was informed by the Steve Locklin the General Manager of this restaurant this is an environment friendly approach of the International Director of The Michelin Guide 'Protocol ' I am not blaming anymore the Staff but for me this is still poor rather cheap representation of a posh restaurant! To me the entire explanation of the International Director is rather polishing up the cost-saving move of the entire Michelin Standard. IF I spend a decent amount of money on a posh meal for a special occasion, I still prefer the white table-cloth being used! I understand the green approach regarding the environment issue however we are not talking about a mass consumer base like e.g. McDonald 's... I am just wondering, will be the next move of the International Director of The Michelin Guide to use paper plates, wooden spoons, etc.??? Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4 Price per person: £100+
