4.3 / 5 (3850 reviews)

Description

Simla offers a diverse dining experience, with food quality and service that can vary widely. While some guests rave about delicious offerings like butter chicken and lamb balti, others report disappointing dishes that lack flavor, with tough meats and inadequate portion sizes. Service seems to be a constant theme, oscillating between attentive and unprofessional, with some patrons feeling uncomfortable due to staff behavior. However, the restaurant garners praise for its kid-friendly atmosphere and reasonable prices. Overall, Simla has the potential to delight diners, but consistency remains elusive.

Had a take away from here to try it. People we know rave about the place... Yeah, won't be bothering again. The sauce was bland and watery, the meat dry and tasted like it was cooked yesterday and reheated. Service: Takeaway Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £10–20 Food: 3 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3

A variety of customers in Simla but always a fantastic experience. The service is very good, BYO is easy and the staff are always accommodating with glasses etc. And most importantly, the food is so good! I always have the Goa Garlic Chicken on a sizzler skillet. Whatever my family or friends have had, it’s always been great. Highly recommend SIMLA (and there are lots of Indian restaurants to choose from between Boldmere, Wylde Green and Sutton). Our firm favourite by far! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Inside needs some tlc and food we had was bland, not the bold flavours you'd expect at an Indian. Vegetarian options: They offer paneer dishes, not listed on menu. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £10–20 Food: 3 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 3 Recommendation for vegetarians: Would not recommend Vegetarian offerings: Vegetarian menu or section
