The only p... read more We had dinner for 6 people at Classico and it was very pleasant. The staff was nice, the pace was good and the price-performance ratio was excellent. The only problem for me was that food was very salty, especially the salmon soup, which was almost painful about salt.

All were to... read more The interior was beautiful! Much more beautiful than expected. And the food was great. We had salads, lasagna and sole with white wine/tomato sauce. All were top notch. My only complaint is that at the time when we ordered a grappa after dinner, our very sweet waitress had gone home and another woman took our order. Without asking, she brought us the top shelf Grappa di chardonnay instead of normal things I didn't recognize until I got the check. Minus a star for it. But overall a very pleasant meal.

The food (and wine) was very good and very cheap, and the service was friendly and attentive. I don't have any concerns to eat there again.

In my final night after I finished packing for my return trip I didn't want to wander too much looking for a meal, so I decided to finally give this place a try. I hadn't even looked at the menu posted outside because from all appearances it was an Italian restaurant. I was pleasantly surprised to find out they still offered many German dishes at moderate prices. I had a wonderful ziguenerschnitzel with bratkartoffeln (schnitzel covered with sweet peppers/onions and fried potatoes) and a couple of glasses of a very tasty spatlese (a moderately sweet German white wine). The service was good and the food was as good as any I had in the other places I had eaten which served German food only. The portions were huge and I found myself wishing I had tried it sooner. If/when I return to the Bingen area, I will definitely revisit this establishment.
