It seemed really popular like all the other stalls, had a dazzling array of interesting-looking pintxos. We got one with gula baby eels as we had not tried it and we got another with chorizo a quail's egg. Pintxos were 2€ each were heated up. The baby eels didn't really taste of much as it was served in mayo, on a mushroom also jamon. The mayo mushroom overpowered the taste of the eel. The chorizo was very tasty spicy. For travellers who aren't too familiar with pintxos, we liked the novelty of trying a range of different things but they are a tad pricey for the small amount you get. Unlike tapas, you don't get a free drink with it either, or the other way round. Pintxos are a must-try when in Bilbao this stall seemed as good as any in the market to give them a try! Staff were pleasant efficient.

When I laid my eyes on the gastronomical art on offer at Vermuteka I only wondered how many I could eat for lunch. Like others without seating preferring the outdoors I stood by the balcony railing savouring my food and looking at the scenery.
