Small plates but packed with flavour and texture. The staff were very knowledgable about the menu so were able to explain it with confidence. The only downside was the restaurant was a bit hard to find at night and it’s in a rough area of the city so recommend to take a taxi if going there at night

The bold flavours used in some of the courses were remarkable. Alvaro Garrido should be proud of this and keep pushing these tastes through his services.

Some particular standouts were 1 the pickled oyster, 2 bone marrow flan ? , 3 artichoke and oyster mushrooms with black truffle on top, and 4 cod tripe and sea urchin. Symphonies of flavors is what I’d describe the food! The service was warm and attentive. There was one Asian server who normally worked as a cook but worked front house on that day who did an amazing job explaining the dishes and chatted with me about how the different dishes were prepared. I went with wines by the glass. And the selections were pretty good. A Pinot noir from Valencia Spain was a surprising standout. Despite its relatively high ABV I believe 14% for a pinot, it was very elegant

Others were quite disappointing (in particular the crab), as they did not celebrate the product but tended to drown it in useless techniques or accoutrements. Having been to similar restaurants around the world, I found Mina to be overpriced for what it offers. I don't regret going but it is unlikely I will go again.
