Everything, everything, all exquisite. our last visit we just went to cut something at night and made us a potato tortilla and a dish of tomato from the orchard with onion. green but it was really amazing. If you get the good food and the good wine and let you go, you'll get it.

Cou... read more Felt tricked by the lack of a menu and felt particularly taken advantage of when the waiter realised we had limited Spanish. Course one tomato with ham €34. Course two peppers stuffed with pork in (what tasted like tinned) tomato sauce €34. Thankfully we left before we were sold the full five course ‘experience’. Rip off. Avoid… Had to go for pinchos immediately after (the bar opposite was great value) as we were still hungry!

However it was... read more This is a small restaurant with no menu, we were a family of 4 and it was quiet when we arrived so we were slightly unsure how it would suit us. However it was exceptional, a wonderful experience. The owner explained the 5 courses to us (all selected seasonally and locally) and wanted to check that it suited our requirements. We thoroughly enjoyed it all but the monkfish was my favourite. The owner also took time to explain the local wine and paired it well. It was our first night in Bilbao. Not only was it a fabulous introduction to its gastronomy, it also set a very high culinary standard.
